🇬🇧 No Vacancy – A Story That Begins in a 130-Year-Old Building in La Darsena
In the heart of Porto Antico – once the bustling maritime and commercial center of the Republic of Genoa – there is a 130-year-old building, standing proud in the historic La Darsena district. Since the 13th century, this area welcomed ships and goods from all over the Mediterranean: cod from Northern Europe, wine from Sicily, olive oil from Spain, timber from the Balkans, and exotic spices from Africa and the Middle East.
In this very building, my grandfather opened a small office to run a seafood import-export business. Then came my father, and now it's us, the next generation of brothers, who continue to care for this place – having grown up with the sound of waves and the heartbeat of the old port. #airbnbportoanticogenoa
As the city evolved, and La Darsena transformed into a vibrant cultural and tourist destination, we felt the need to preserve that old office as a family memory, and to turn it into a space that would continue telling the story of Genoa – through light, sea breeze, and stone walls that still whisper history.
This is how No Vacancy was born – a collection of 3 spacious and welcoming apartments, right by the sea, designed to welcome travelers who want to discover Genoa slowly, and live like a local.
We believe that if you stay here, you won’t just see Genoa – you’ll feel it.
